Academic Effort Formula

Effort Formula allows the default effort scale to be altered. The existing scale will be displayed. Study the existing scale and plan the new scale carefully.

The Percent of Assignments Complete column calculates the number of assignments containing the grade INC or Marked Late. If the percentage complete and on time is at or above the percentage shown, the student will receive the effort grade to the right.

The Cutoff Point By Percent column looks at the students current Average in the subject. If that average is at or above the percentage shown the student will receive the effort grade to the right. NOTE that this is an and function and either case can yield a lower effort grade. INC combined with other marks can create some interesting Logic problems.
