Grade Entry Screen

The Grade Entry screen is a double column screen that allows all the students to be seen at once. This is the "magic" screen where Quick Entry, Percent, Number WrongNumber Correct or Rubric Entry will do their special thing. For instance if using Number Wrong with 34 points, pressing a one (1) and return will cause PGGP to calculate a 97% for that entry.

Note:  If students are missing in the Grade Entry Screen, you may have set the Student Number too low.

When returning to the Grade Entry Screen the computer places AN ESTIMATE of the original raw score when using Number Wrong, Number Correct or Rubric Entry. (Trying to reverse engineer a rounded number, can cause an occasional 1 point difference. The number displayed will result in the existing percentage score.)

It is possible to move to a student by clicking on the entry column or using the arrow keys. The return key (Enter) will also pass by a student leaving the grade untouched. Clicking on the student's name will display the student's database.

When entering grades, other symbols can be entered which may be helpful in identifying missing assignments.

I= INC (Incomplete)
A= ABS (Absent)
N= N/A (Not applicable)
B= Blank
CTRL+any action that moves the cursor to a new cell toggles a Late and an "L" appears in the cell with the grade. If the grade was already marked Late, the "L" disappears and the grade is no longer late.
