Group Grade Entry

When working with cooperative learning groups, it is possible to enter grades by group. Each subject allows separate group membership for each student.

Start a new assignment entry. The middle of the screen contains the Group Entry Buttons.
From top to bottom there is a Group Entry Box, A button for each group, a Group Button and a Done Button.
Putting an X in the Group Entry box will activate the buttons.
Clicking on the Group Button will change the screen to a Group Entry Screen. After clicking on the Group Button start at the first student, and assign each student a group number. Selecting zero will cause a student to not be assigned to a group. Either the number row or the 10 keypad can be used to assign group numbers. Click on Done to return to the Grade Entry Screen.

To enter a Group Grade, click on a group button, e.g. Group 1. All students in that group will be marked and the next grade entered will be given to the group. The group will be unmarked. At this point the user may enter either a single grade for a student or another Group Grade by clicking on another Group Button.

If you highlight a group and decide you do not wish to enter a group grade, click on Ungroup.

A temporary group can also be created by holding shift and clicking on a student's grade entry column. The student will be highlighted. After the group is created any grade entered will be distributed to the highlighted group. This can be especially handy when entering behavior grades, when there has been an incident involving several students.
